To make things worse, as he tries to restore some balance to his life and work, he finds disturbing clues that the veterinarian he has been dating may not be who he thought she was.
And he thought moving to paradise would be like living in paradise. How naive.

I have read hundreds of books on my Kindle and never left a review..until I started reading this series. This is the fifth in the Derek Dreadlow series. With any series of books I've read in the past there's always at least one book that's a let down. However with this series I can honestly say that each one is better than the previous. As you get to know the characters you become involved in wanting to know them even more. Each book is a continuation of the last, so they really need to be read in order. These are books that you don't want to end. This particular book has a few good cliff hangers and I can see there are going to be many follow ups. I guess I'll have to wait patiently. I did subscribe to the author's web page to get notification when his new books come out. In short, I would highly recommend this series to anyone who is looking for a good and exciting read. Great read. First time with this author. Will look for other books by Julien Rapp.
